Vesuvius offers a variety of end cap attachment solutions uniquely suited to the glass tempering roll environment.

Smartly Driven®

The Vesuvius patented Smartly Driven® End Cap system is the preferredchoice for most applications.  This all mechanical end cap attachmentsystem eliminates the use of  RTV Silicone, hazardous chemicals and resins.They do not emit fumes or chemicals, are safe for the workers and have temperature capabilities to 350ºC.

Bi-Metallic
The Vesuvius patented Bi-Metallic End Cap system is uniquely designed for specific high temperature applications typically involving glassbending systems.  This end cap attachment solution is recommendedfor use in temperature ranges from 300ºC <  600ºC.

RTV Silicon Glued

The Vesuvius RTV Silicone Glued End Cap system is still available forspecific applications, but this system is limited to temperatures below 150ºC, and is not a “Green” product.
