Basilite Series Spray Mixes
Basilite is a wet slurry mix applied through a spray machine. VESUVIUS supplies a wide range of spray mixes. Some mixes are in the density range of 85 to 90 lbs/cu ft (35.7 to 40 kg/cu ft). Other mixes are denser (100+ lbs/cu ft or 45+ kg) for tougher application. The product is also offered in a range of MgO content.
- Dry, fine grained MgO aggregates, fillers and foaming agent for porosity and binder
- Mixed with water (20%) and pumped
- Air introduced at end of nozzle to disperse wet mix
