LADLES - SLAG DETECTION SYSTEM

RADAR® is a ladle slag detection system (LSDS) which monitors the vibra-acoustic emissions of the liquid steel flow from ladle to tundish.
The LSDS sensor is commonly magnetically mounted to the ladle shroud manipulator arm.
 The system continuously monitors ladle to tundish flow conditions and provides separate vortex warning, slag warning and close-gate command signals to the ladle operator.
