One Shot Liners and Backup Crucibles for Vacuum Induction Melting of Nickel and Cobalt Based Superalloys
One Shot liners are extensively used in a wide range of applications, particularly within vacuum induction melting of superalloys, for aerospace, power generation and medical applications.
Our one-shot liner system provides the quality conscious investment caster with considerable improvements in terms of reliability, product quality and process efficiency.
The system comprises a multi-use outer crucible (back-up crucible), and a fused silica or alumina, single-use liner. One-shot liner crucibles are available in a wide range of sizes and offer:
- Clean melting technology
- Smooth melting/pouring surfaces
- Suitable for nickel and cobalt-based superalloys
- No risk of cross-contamination of alloys, as the liner is only used once and inclusions are dramatically reduced
- Complete production traceability
High Alumina Crucibles for Induction Melting of High Temperature Alloys
A range of high alumina crucibles are available for the melting of steel, cobalt and nickel based superalloys.
Clay Graphite and Silicon Carbide Crucibles for Aluminium and Copper Base Alloys
DURATEK long-life crucibles
DURATEK crucibles offer excellent oxidation resistance and thereby give extended service life compared to standard crucibles.
ENERTEK energy efficient crucibles
ENERTEK crucibles are a new family of energy efficient crucibles that have been formulated and manufactured to offer the most thermally efficient crucible for holding molten aluminium.
DIAMANT TOP
Premium quality, isostatically pressed clay graphite crucibles with very low electric conductivity designed for high powered induction applications for aluminium and copper base alloys.
DIAMANT Super Rapid
Hand formed clay graphite crucibles with very good thermal, mechanical shock and chemical attack resistance ideally suited for copper base alloys in holding furnaces.
Thermocouple sheaths
Effective temperature control is an essential requirement for the modern light alloy foundry to ensure that the correct metallurgical casting conditions are maintained. ISO Prime carbon bonded silicon carbide sheaths are available up to 1800mm long.
