No cement castables have been available for many years and are attractive due to superior properties and corrosion resistance.
The key benefit of the TRIAD Z range is the lack of chemically combined water as compared with conventional and low cement castables. This means that all water is held physically in the material and can be removed much faster making dry out faster and less potentially damaging. Fast dry out is critical in foundry and can be completed in 24 to 48 hours. TRIAD Z can be installed by casting, pumping and also shocrete method that do not require any formwork; ideal for veenner repairs.
All TRIAD Z range should be mixed in conjunction with VESBOND 4000 seperate binder.

TRIAD Z 189 is a no cement castable based on high purity alumina aggregates enriched with SiC & Graphite. TRIAD Z 189 does not contain dangerous metallic additives that can lead to Hydrogen Generation and potential explosion risk. The TRIAD Z 189 castable is designed for use in long campaign cupolas in the lower portion including the well, syphon, and taphole areas where most erosion occurs due to constant contact with high temperature iron and slag.
TRIAD Z 160 is a no cement castable based on high purity mid alumina (66%) aggregate with superior erosion resistance and thermal cycling ability. Application is mainly for transfer iron ladle and small steel ladles.
