EAF

For electrical furnaces, Process Metrix has developed scanning systems that can be coupled (or not) to gunning systems for targeted gunning material applications.

Applications

  • Electric Arc Furnace
  • Induction Furnace

Relevant products

  • ANTERIS 300g
  • ANTERIS 300r
  • ANTERIS 360

ANTERIS 300g

Laser-Guided Gunning – Spray control

Includes the same thickness measurement as ANTERIS 300r, but also a GUI (Graphical User Interface) to control the gunning robot.

Process Metrix and Vesuvius can offer a fully automatic refractory management system including thickness measurement and repair for all vessel types.

Benefits

  • Safety
  • Increased efficiency
  • Increased vessel availability
  • Extension of refractory lifetime
  • Highly customizable solution for most applications

ANTERIS 300r

Robotic arm

In many EAF cases, the laser must be brought over the furnace when the furnace roof is removed. A robotic arm may be needed in some ladle applications as well.

In almost all cases Process Metrix and Vesuvius can offer a custom-made and flexible solution with a robotic arm design and turn-key project.

Benefits

  • Safety
  • Increased efficiency
  • Increased vessel availability
  • Extension of refractory lifetime
  • Highly customizable solution for most applications

ANTERIS 360

Insert-able System – ONE SCAN and DONE!

For special furnace plants where regular scanner technology will leave brick areas unscanned because the field of view of the laser is blocked by the environment (partial cover, skull, etc.), the insert-able system will provide a safe measurement in a single scan for the shortest turn-around time.

Benefits

  • Safety
  • Ultimate scanning efficiency (single 360 degree scan)
  • Can be inserted (almost) in any vessel
  • Optimizes vessel availability
  • Extension of refractory lifetime
  • Highly customizable solution for most applications
  • Fastest, most accurate scanner on the market
