Float Glass

During the 1960s, a new process for flat-glass manufacturing was introduced - the float glass process. A continuous process - batch material is melting at high temperature to liquid glass, which is than "floating" over a tin bath and formed to a solid ribbon and finally cooled down very slowly in an annealing furnace.
